Getting the seeds in

Yesterday we worked the soil, today we planted.

I admit its hard to let the kids help sometimes...I just fight the urge to do it myself so things can be "perfect" or at least more orderly, but I did my best to let them do as much as possible. I know we won't have straight rows of lettuce and the carrots my be too close together, but it'll be okay!

They sure do get alot of joy out of it! That makes it worth it!

I did manage to put Elisa off until she's a bit bigger :)
She can help water or something

they all were able to water using MIST

aren't they cute?

Now its Elisa's turn!

poor thing, she will always have someone telling her how to do things

It's Time!

Doesn't Caroline look like a good worker? She is!

Here are all of my little workers...I mean children. :)
This is our first little garden project. It is right off of the back patio.
We are getting the soil ready to plant various lettuces and spinach. We hope this will be fruitful and the location will give us easy & quick access for fresh salads at mealtimes.

Caleb loves to use the tools to dig- he's a true helper this year

Joshua likes to dig too, but in a different sort of way. I think you know what I mean. He did manage to entertain himself all afternoon playing in the dirt while Caleb and Caroline finished up their schoolwork

We've got a new yard to garden in!

Well, Spring is almost here!!! Our great new yard is showing signs all over the place!
Today the kids and I bought our seeds in preparation for gardening again this year.
Stay tuned! We've begun churning up the dirt...
